NEWS FOR 2010

Royal Cornwall Show
The NBCC welcomes the Royal Cornwall Show to the competition for 2010. After 2 years of running a succesful ironwork feature the Royal Cornwall Show has now been invited to join the National Blacksmiths Competition circuit as a qualifying show.


Inter college competition
This years inter college competition will be held at the Three Counties show on June 18th - 20th. Any School or College that has metalwork or forgework as part of its curriculum is eligible to enter. A blanket fee of £50 per college will be charged and will entitle that college to enter as many pieces as it wishes. Pieces will also be entered free into the main competition to allow students a chance of winning individual prizemoney.
The winning college will receive the Blacksmiths Guild challenge shield.
This is a fantastic, cheap, marketing opportunity for individual students and their school or college, with most shows having a potential audience in excess of 100,000 members of the public.

Competitors database

Competitors are to be given the opportunity to publicise their contact details on a directory page within this website. This information enables prospective customers to find details of smiths whose work they may have seen at shows. Details will be taken from chief stewards at each show.
