Metalwork for re-enactment can also be associated with living history. We have made many items, a few of which are shown below. Some of the re-enactment items are commissioned by experimental archaeologists and actually have to work and be accurate copies. For instance, the viking axe head was used to measure the distance and trajectory that could have been achieved by the originals when used in battle.
We will make any item of metalwork associated with re-enactment including pattern welded blades.
We can provide a handle making and fitting service for your own blade using horn, bone or wood, and also a research service for the purpose of making accurate copies of ancient metalwork. Handle making and research is carried out by a qualified specialist who works with us as a consultant.
