Established for over 50 years, the metalwork feature is a great attraction throughout the show for the 90,000 plus visitors.
Featuring Eight classes for competitions as well as other static display items.
Class 1 A traditionally made item made in the competitors workshop with a value less than £250 ex vat
Class 2 A traditionally made items made in the competitors workshop with a value more than £250 ex vat
Class 3 Any item produced in the competitors workshop of a contemporary design using any methods ( no limit on price)
Class 4 Any article produced in the competitors workshop of a sculptural or feature design, (no limit on price)
Class 5 Any article produced in the competitors workshop for use in Agriculture or Industry
To be competed for during the show
Class 6 Live competition 2 hours to make a "door stop".
Class 7 Live competition Crash 'n' Dash 30 minutes to make a saleable item
Class 8 Live competition make an item to a sample or drawing ( material supplied) in 1 Hr
Late entries will be accepted up to show opening time, Live competition entries can be made during the show.
Classes 1-6 are eligible for consideration in the National Champion Blacksmith of the year award
