Presentation of prizes will be held on Saturday 5th June at 5.00pm
at the forge on the village green by MrGeoffrey Hughes-Emeritus Prime Warden of the
Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths


Any item entered in the following classes must include hot forged techniques
and must be forged predominately from
iron and steel.

Class WI1 Any item, any size, for INTERIOR use. Must incorporate forging techniques.

Class WI2 Any item, any size, for EXTERIOR use. Must incorporate forging techniques.


Class WI3 Live Blacksmithing "To produce any item"- to be made in 90 mins.
Materials optional to be provided by the competitor. NO STRIKER ALLOWED. To be held daily from Thursday to Saturday and judged on the Saturday of the show.
The winner will also receive the Ron Bennett memorial perpetual challenge trophy offered by the British Artists Blacksmiths Association( BABA). The Royal Bath and West of England Society is a member and active supporter of BABA.

Class WI4 Live Blacksmithing, "Produce something saleable within a timescale of 20 mins"
Materials optional to be provided by the competitor. To be held daily from Thursday and judged on the Saturday of the show.

Class WI5 Live tong making, "One pair of Blacksmiths or Farriers tongs.
Time allowed 30 minutes. Material optional, to be supplied by the competitor.A striker is allowed, but is not mandatory. The duties of a striker (if employed), are restricted to tending the fire and use of the sledge hammer. To be held daily from Thursday to Saturday and judged on the Saturday of the show.


Exhibitors are invited to display a photo collage of their work at the show
