ENTRY FEES:
Postal entries only, please download an entry form
20 blanket entry fee (incl VAT)
The entry fee will cover as many entries as you may wish to make in
Classes WI 1 and WI 2 and WI 3

(Competitors will receive a pass providing them with access to the show
On all four days)

Class WI 5 -5 per day for entries taken at the Show
Multiple items for entry are encouraged subject to forge availability
Items for entry must be left at the showground for the duration of the show.

CLASSES

Class WI 1 Static
an NBCC qualifying competition.
An item made by a blacksmith in their own workshop
To be judged on Wednesday, the first day of Show.


Class WI 2 Live an NBCC qualifying competition.

Time permitted 2 hours. Time starts when metal is placed in the forge.
Subject is to make
"a centrepiece for a dining table" to the 'smith's own design
Materials to be provided by the competitor,Competition to be held daily and judged on the last day of the Show.


Class WI 3 Live- Artistic an NBCC qualifying class.
An item of artistic or sculptural metalwork to the competitors design.

Class W4 Industrial Live. Not an NBCC qualifying class.Time allowed 2 hours, Any industrial item to be made on the coal or gas forges.The winner will win the Army challenge cup. Prize money and trophy kindly donated by Mr Don Mallet LWCB

Class WI 5 Live - The People's Choice
Subject is any item the 'smith chooses to make.
Open to all, and to be judged on the item's appeal to the public, and not by the NBCC standards
Time allowed, up to 60 minutes for each entry, numerous entries are allowed and encouraged
Daily prize of 25 with the winning piece being retained and presented to the day's judge who will be a member of the public.

Class WI 1 1st 50; 2nd 30; 3rd 20;
Class WI 2 1st 50; 2nd 30; 3rd 20;
Class WI 3 Daily winner 25


CLOSING DATE:
Postal Entries - 18 May 2019

Postal entries will receive the relevant show passes to access the dedicated parking area near to the Blacksmiths Feature's new location


Non pre booked entries for classes WI 2 and WI 3 will be accepted on the day,
NB no show entry and parking passes will be available for these late entries
